I am not a prolific user of various social media platforms but I do appreciate the power it holds to connect with people and to grow your business.

There are times when family commitments and your work fill a large part of your life and the best you can do is to unplug from social media on a regular basis.

These small breaks help me focus on the work in hand and also give ample time to relax.

The year 2016 has been a whirlwind.

I met so many amazing people, ventured into a couple of projects involving uncertainty, yet successfully completed all and learned so much last year. With all the ups and downs of last year, the one thing I always remember is to smile and look up at what I got in life.

Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it.” ~ Andy Rooney.

I am enjoying my journey as a food stylist and was in for a pleasant surprise the other day when I received a call from the ace photographer Venkat Ram.

Books make great gifts because they have whole worlds inside of them. And it’s much cheaper to buy somebody a book than it is to buy them the whole world!” ~ Gaiman.

I received two beautiful cook books, ‘The Café Spice’ and Silk Road Vegetarian’ from Tuttle publishing sometime back .

I left Udaipur in 1990 for higher studies and worked for a few years before getting married & settling in Chennai for good. But then, my mom was always concerned about me leaving my job, until I got myself involved in activities related to my blog Lite Bite.
Later, whenever I called her to tell about my …

Recipes | Two Easy Eggless Orange Cakes with Oats and whole-wheat

Christmas is round the corner and it’s just not right without a little bit of baking. I have been baking non-stop for the last few days and loving every moment of packing and sending these goodies to friends.

Nothing can beat the rich spiced Christmas cake loaded with caramel, brandy, vine fruits and nuts. But when short on time, I look forward to my short-cut recipes.
