Lite recipes for right health !
Highlights:

Baking Bites : In this section, recipes included will have ingredients which can be easily sourced in India and are quick to make.

Lunchbox Bites :The concept of lunch has been squeezed into the tiny lunch boxes we pack to school or office for more than 300 days in a year. The boxes always wear a mundane look and invite a fussy eater, with the same boring menu round the year.

Festive Bites : Lookout for a healthy way to celebrations.
Litebite Recipes explores 'WHAT' to eat part of the healthy-living. It is an hearty attempt to discover and adapt to the goodness of the cuisine all over the world, emphasizing on healthy, vegetarian and quick-to-cook recipes.
India is a country with 'multi' as its prefix, what with people following multi-religion, multi-language, multi-culture and even multi-cuisine. Food preparation and preferences varies every 5 kms in the country. North and western part prefer wheat while south and eastern parts have rice as their staple diet.
Adaptation and exchange of recipes have become the order of the day for new generation. For the same reason when idlies and dosas are treated as delicacies in north India, chapattis have become a hot favorite down south.
My north Indian friends always ask me to post recipes to make softer idlies & various rice dishes and the south Indian ones will pester me for the recipes of side dishes(subjis) and chapattis.
For people on the run : The idea for Litebite recipe was born during an informal discussion with a friend in Delhi, who is also a working mother of two grown up kids.
She advised me to keep my site for simple and quick recipes, helpful for people on the run and stay away from more exotic and innovative recipes which consume time & energy.
Short of time and energy : In today's world when time has become one of the most precious and sought after commodity for all, it is difficult to involve in activities other than the daily routine chores. It is exciting to read and see innovative recipes in the net, but lack of time and energy makes everyone search recipes which are simple and easy to cook, she added.
Cooking is an art which comes to you only when YOU hold a ladle! A great chef is not born but is made gradually after a series of hits & trials and chaos in her/his kitchen.
Be ready to experiment, innovate and put in that extra effort to make your loved ones feel special.Try packing health, taste and love in the tiny boxes with some of my Lunchbox Bites.
Whatever you select, you can be sure that the first time you make it won't be the last.
Bon Appe'tit !
