@Geetanjali, Thanks for your sweet words 🙂 Self raising flour is refined flour in which a small proportion of leavening agents (baking soda/baking powder) is already present. Yes baking powder and baking soda are both different, one is alkaline and one is acidic in nature. You can read the Baking Glossary on Lite Bite for more info.

what is self raising flour /
in some of places you have mentioned to use baking powder as well as baking soda, do we need to use both of them.or only baking powder is fine.
